If you’re looking for in‑person hypnotherapy in Blackpool or around the Fylde Coast, these 1:1 in person sessions are designed for people whose old experiences, anxiety and patterns keep leaking into the present – even when you understand “why” they’re there.
If you’d like a fuller picture of how I work with anxiety, you can read more about hypnotherapy in Blackpool for anxiety and panic.
Rather than endless talking, we’ll focus on helping your system respond differently in real situations: feeling safer in your body, calmer under stress and more able to do the things that matter, without having to fight yourself every step of the way.

People come to see me with all sorts of labels, but underneath it often comes down to anxiety, old experiences and patterns that are hard to shift. You might notice it in your body, in your relationships or in the way you automatically react when something feels even slightly threatening or uncertain. For sleep problems, I also offer sleep hypnotherapy in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
For some people, this shows up as anxiety and stress – a busy, over‑alert mind, difficulty switching off, trouble sleeping, or a constant feeling that you’re braced for the next problem. For others, it’s more about past experiences that still leak into the present, or long‑running habits and people‑pleasing that don’t budge just by understanding them better. If social anxiety or fear of being seen is the main issue, you might like to read about confidence hypnotherapy in Blackpool.
What a session is like
I’ve been working with hypnosis and Ericksonian psychotherapy for over three decades, and I’m an advanced practitioner and registered supervisor with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). I’m also accredited through the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), which means my training, ongoing supervision and ethical practice are monitored against recognised professional standards. Alongside client work, I train and supervise other hypnotherapists in indirect and Ericksonian approaches, so you’re working with someone who also teaches these methods to other professionals.
Sessions are conversational and practical. We’ll start by getting clear on what’s been happening, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d most like to be different in everyday life – not just how you want to feel in the therapy room.
From there, I’ll draw on hypnotherapy, NLP and Ericksonian, indirect approaches to help your system respond differently. You won’t be “put under” or lose control; you’ll stay aware and able to talk, while we use focused attention, imagery and gentle shifts in perspective to help your unconscious mind update old responses.
I don’t deliberately force people to re‑live trauma. Sometimes strong feelings or memories can arise, but the aim is to work with them safely, at a pace that respects your nervous system, so change feels steady and grounded rather than overwhelming.
Approaches I use
My work is not limited to one rigid method. Depending on what you need, I may draw on Ericksonian hypnotherapy, NLP, Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), and other brief change approaches to help your system respond differently in everyday life.
I’m an Advanced IEMT practitioner, which means I can also use a brief eye-movement-based approach where this fits the work, especially when old emotional patterns or the after‑effects of difficult experiences are still active in the present.
I’m also qualified in OldPain2Go, a structured conversational approach used with persistent pain once an appropriate medical assessment has taken place. Not every approach is right for every person, so I use these methods flexibly and only where they genuinely fit what you’re coming for.
Session length, rhythm and fees
Sessions are usually 90 minutes. That gives us enough space to arrive, settle, do the deeper work and land again, rather than stopping just as something important starts to move.
Most people start with a small block of sessions and then review together. Some changes happen quickly; others take a little more time. We’ll talk openly about how things are shifting as we go, so you’re not left wondering how long you’ll be coming for.
All sessions take place in person in Blackpool, serving people from across the Fylde Coast and surrounding areas. Current fees are £125 per 90‑minute session. If you’d like to ask about availability or have questions before booking, you’re welcome to get in touch.
