If your mind will not switch off at night, or your body seems tired but still unable to settle, sleep hypnotherapy can help at the level where those patterns actually happen. In Blackpool, I offer one‑to‑one sessions for people whose nights are disrupted by stress, anxiety, overthinking or an over‑alert nervous system.
This is not about forcing yourself to sleep on command. It is about helping your system learn that it has more options than staying wired, scanning for problems or treating bedtime as another place where pressure builds.
What this work can help with
Trouble falling asleep because your mind keeps going round in circles
Waking in the night and struggling to settle again
Light, broken sleep that leaves you tired but still tense
Sleep problems linked to anxiety, stress or feeling permanently on edge

How I use hypnotherapy with sleep problems
Rather than treating sleep as a performance you have to get right, we work with the patterns that keep your system alert when it needs to let go. Using conversational hypnotherapy, Ericksonian approaches and NLP, we help your mind and body begin to respond differently to bedtime, waking in the night, and the pressure that often builds around sleep.
The aim is not to knock you out or make you passive. It is to help your nervous system discover calmer states, loosen old alarm patterns and stop treating the night as something to fight with.
What sessions are like
Sessions are usually 90 minutes and take place in person in Blackpool, serving people from across the Fylde Coast and nearby areas. We begin by getting a clear picture of what your nights have been like, what seems to trigger the problem, and what you have already tried.
From there, we use focused attention, language, imagery and other brief change approaches to help your system experience night-time differently. If you would like a fuller picture of this work, you can also read my article on sleep hypnotherapy in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
